War could make debut for O'Brien at Goodwood Declaration Of War is one of three Aidan O'Brien runners remaining among the 14 in contention for Saturday's Betfair Celebration Mile at Goodwood. Unbeaten in two starts for Jean-Claude Rouget late last year, Declaration Of War has moved to Ballydoyle and could be joined by UAE Derby winner Daddy Long Legs and Reply. There is plenty of strong domestic competition for the Group Two prize, with Goodwood specialist Chachamaidee in the reckoning for Sir Henry Cecil after her victory in the Lennox Stakes. Another Glorious Goodwood winner, Richard Hannon's Trumpet Major, is still engaged, as are Andrew Balding's smart pair Side Glance and Tullius, plus David O'Meara's Penitent and Set The Trend, Premio Loco, Thistle Bird, Aljamaaheer and Van Ellis. Despite being declared for Wednesday's Juddmonte International, Godolphin's Farhh has also been left in. There is likely to be a full field for the other key event on the card, the Betfair Summer Double, with the weights headed by Eton Forever. Betfred Mile winner Fulbright is one of a clutch of entries for Mark Johnston.
