Dermot Weld holds a strong hand in tomorrow's Coolmore America 'Justify' Matron Stakes with short-priced favourite Tahiyra and the Oisin Murphy-ridden Homeless Song both set to line up in the first Group 1 of Irish Champions Festival.

Stable jockey Chris Hayes will be on board Irish 1,000 Guineas and Coronation Stakes winner Tahiyra while Homeless Songs, a brilliant winner of the Irish 1,000 Guineas last season, returns from an absence of just over five months.

Moyglare Stud's daughter of Frankel shaped with promise when losing out narrowly in a Listed race over course and distance back in April and Weld, on a rare visit to Clonmel yesterday where he saddled Astar to win the opener, issued an update on her condition.

"She is coming forward nicely but I'd love to get another two weeks with her. She is coming forward rapidly though and is certainly entitled to take her chance.

"We had a major hold-up with her and that's why you haven't seen her for so long. She ran a very good race when second to Buckaroo (in April) but then had the hold-up, although is on the way back now.

"The old spark is there but it is just on the score of fitness at the moment. Please God it will be a big autumn for her."
