Weld quietly confident for Beauty Dermot Weld has already lifted the Emirates Melbourne Cup on two occasions with Vintage Crop (1993) and Media Puzzle (2002) and is optimistic of a bold show from Profound Beauty. "We had a few little problems with her at first. Her muscle enzymes were a bit raised, but it was my job to get her right," the Curragh trainer told At The Races. "She's an outsider but we're quietly confident of a good run from her. "It will be on the day and it's a very tough race to win this year, this being the 150th (renewal)."
