Live To Laugh (3/1f) gave connections a boost following a win today, having easily landed Punchestown's William Hill Challenge Series Handicap Hurdle for trainer Peter Fahey, jockey Ethan O'Sullivan and owners Whittle/McEvoy/Callan & the Good For A Laugh Syndicate.

Successful twice from just four previous runs over fences, the seven-year-old today competed from an 18lb lower mark than fences (94 v 112) and, having travelled well, scored very easily under a confident ride.

Fahey reported "I suppose he was well-in considering his higher chase mark and he had a lovely run over a trip that was short enough for him in Listowel.

“We were a little bit worried about the ground being quick for him but in fairness they did a great job watering. I think he'll improve away on winter ground, up through the ranks in handicaps over both hurdles and fences.

“They are a great bunch of people that own him, there's a brother-in-law of mine, Anthony Callan, who's not too well at the moment so hopefully that'll give his family a bit of a lift."
