There is just over a week to go to Dundalk’s next fixture, on Thursday 12th July, which is of course the Boylesports.com Dual Race Day with the Marshes Shopping Centre Best Dressed Lady Competition.

The big news is that following his hugely encouraging trial run at Shelbourne on Saturday night, Milldean Panther is now definitely being aimed for the Boylesports International.

Milldean Panther is Shelbourne Park’s 525-yards track record holder and he is 6/1 with sponsors Ladbrokes to win this year’s Irish Derby, the 80th running of the classic.

The classic kicks off in early August with the final on Saturday September 8th.

Richard Harkness, Ladbrokes odds compiler, said at the recent launch of one of the world’s richest greyhound races: “Milldean Panther set the greyhound world alight and he has to be has to be favourite.”

Panther’s presence in the Boylesports International will certainly boost the attendance on the night as enthusiasts will want to see the Derby favourite in action in his pre-classic outing.
