Witness Misses Sprint Trial

Hong Kong superstar Silent Witness has been pulled out of Sunday´s Cathay Pacific International Sprint Trial on veterinary advice.

Following a gallop on Thursday morning, the vet allocated to trainer Tony Cruz´s stable found the six-year-old to be 'dull' and off his food, so the stewards ordered him to be withdrawn.

Silent Witness will now be prepared for the international meeting on December 11, where he has won the Sprint for the last two years.

'If he´s not right, he´s not right. We´ll just have to try and prepare for him for the internationals,' said Cruz.
