Wolverhampton passes inspection This afternoon's meeting at Wolverhampton has been given the green light after the track passed a third morning inspection at 9.30am. Officials initially announced a 7.30am check due to the threat of overnight snow but decided to have a second look an hour later. Conditions at that time were described as raceable and although further snow prompted acting clerk of the course Andy Waitt to inspect for a third time at 9.30am, he is now happy to give the card the go-ahead. 'Thankfully we are still raceable so we have passed the 9.30am inspection and racing goes ahead,' said Waitt. Obviously we are going to monitor the situation as the day continues but we are happy to race at the moment.' The midlands all-weather venue is the only track to race today after Southwell and Lingfield were earlier abandoned due to snow.
