Yaxchilan weaves through to score for O'Leary Ger O’Leary’s Yaxchilan burst through inside the final furlong to land the spoils in the See You Next Friday Handicap at Fairyhouse. Dylan Browne McMonagle held his mount up in the six furlong contest and he had plenty to do turning for home. The 12/1 shot weaved his way into contention passing the furlong pole and got his head in front in the final 100 yards to record a half-length success over Livingston Range. It was a first career success for the Mehmas gelding, who was making his fourth start for O’Leary. O’Leary said:- “Dylan did a wonderful job getting him out of traffic and said he probably needs seven (furlongs). “Dropping into the 0-60 was a big help so we’ll look for something similar over the next three weeks, but Dylan was the architect of that.” (Quotes by Alan Magee)
