Zain Al Boldan enters Classic picture Mick Channon’s Zain Al Boldan put herself firmly in the Oaks picture by spreadeagling the opposition in the listed Oaks trial at Lingfield. Sam Hitchcott set the filly alight two furlongs out and the 5/1 shot put in her best work to win by six lengths from the 9/4 favourite Field Of Miracles. The bookmakers were impressed with the win, Boylesports going as low as 10-1 for the Epsom Classic. Sky Bet are 12s from 66s. Channon was represented by his son Michael, who said: “I was very surprised at the way she won. She did it so well, it was super the way she quickened up. “Obviously she will handle a switchback course, we know that, and it will now depend what Mick and the owner want to do.”
