Ze Do Asfalto was another horse to successfully dictate off the front in the optional claimer over seven furlongs on Dundalk's card.

The 9/2 shot made all under Wayne Lordan and had enough in the tank to fend off Never Shout Never (16/5 favourite) by three-parts of a length. Dontspoilasale (14/1) was another half a length away in third.

Adrian Murray said: "I wouldn't think so (a surprise), he had a nice run before here in a maiden. Wayne let him run a similar type race in that he bowled along in front.

"He is in to be claimed so, if he is claimed, well and good. If not, we will keep going."

Dontspoilasale and Ze Do Asfalto were claimed by James McAuley to be trained by Denis Hogan, while Never Shout Never was claimed by Andy McNamara.

This was Adrian Murray's 16th winner on the Polytrack at Dundalk this year.
