Zhukova Down The Field At Belmont The Dermot Weld trained Zhukova finished last of the six runners in Sunday night's Flower Bowl Stakes at Belmont Park on the outskirts of New York. Zhukova ridden by Pat Smullen raced up with the pace but faded early in the home straight and was eased down in the closing stages. The $500,000 race was won by the ex-French trained War Flag trained by Shug McGaughey. The winner gains automatic free entry to the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mares' Turf race at Del Mar.
