St Nicholas Abbey is unbeaten in two starts and is already the clear ante-post favourite for next year's Epsom Derby. Godolphin's Al Zir also brings to Yorkshire an unblemished record and will be joined by stablemate Al Ghazal. Elusive Pimpernel excelled in a white-hot renewal of the Acomb Stakes in August and makes his eagerly-awaited reappearance. As does Peter Chapple-Hyam's course-and-distance scorer Coordinated Cut, the mount of Kieren Fallon. Chapple-Hyam also goes to war with the promising Morana, who won the Group Three Autumn Stakes on his last start. Hanson'D and Shakespearean fly the flag for Yorkshire, while further Irish interest comes in the shape of the hat-trick-seeking Elusive Award. Big Audio, Dancing David and Musaafer add further lustre to what is usually an informative end-of-season contest on Town Moor.
