It's the Navan Racing Festival this weekend with some cracking contests in prospect at the Co Meath venue over two days.

Queen Mother Champion Chase winner Marine Nationale reappears, while one of last season's outstanding novice hurdlers — Kopek Des Bordes — tackles fences and the Troytown Chase is Sunday's big handicap prize. We've got tips for the graded races at Navan this weekend.

Saturday

1.35 - Bar One Racing For Auction Novice Hurdle (Grade 3)

The hat-trick seeking I'll Sort That rises in class after scoring at Listowel and Galway recently and should go well for Declan Queally but Henry de Bromhead will expect more from ACE BRANNIGAN after the Order Of St George gelding cruised home in maiden company at Tipperary last month — with the runner-up franking that form with a Listed win at Naas last weekend.

2.10 - Railway Bar Lismullen Hurdle (Grade 2)

THE YELLOW CLAY didn't do a lot wrong last season for Gordon Elliott, winning four times before finishing second behind The New Lion at the Cheltenham Festival in March. He looked a tired horse when he fell at Punchestown in May and can quickly get back on track here.

2.45 - Bar One Racing Fortria Chase (Grade 2)

An absolute belter in this two-miler as Queen Mother Champion Chase winner MARINE NATIONALE returns. Barry Connell's star was imperious at Cheltenham in March and he more than cemented his status with a wide-margin win at Punchestown the following month. He won first time out last season but faces plenty of challenges from the likes of Solness, Found A Fifty, Captain Guinness and Dinoblue in the mix.

Sunday

1.22 - John Lynch Carpets & Flooring Monksfield Novice Hurdle (Grade 3)

Kalypso'chance was turned over at long odds-on at Down Royal this month but could soon leave that behind for the Elliott team but Henry de Bromhead's WALKS IN JUNE is a viable alternative having won a maiden hurdle at Limerick last month in good style under in-form rider Darragh O'Keeffe. The Barry Maloney-owned Walk In The Park gelding is open to plenty of progress.

2.32 - Bar One Racing Troytown Handicap Chase (Grade 3)

There's €60,000 on offer to the winner and Gordon Elliott is mob-handed with seven runners in his quest for an eighth Troytown win. The unexposed Beaufort Scale and Will Do — fourth in the Welsh National last season — could be two interesting ones for Cullentra if they put their best feet forward.

Gavin Cromwell runs four and ASPUROFTHEMOMENT is put forward as one with more to come. The six-year-old ran well in third last month as French Dynamite landed the Munster National at Limerick. He was clear of the remainder and a 3lb rise looks fair for a horse that had won two from four over fences previous to that and has now shown he can compete in this company.
