Al Eile on course for Aintree history

The John Queally trained Al Eile will bid to become only the second horse to win the John Smith's Aintree Hurdle four times, when he races 16 rivals for Saturday's race.

Al Eile will try to emulate Morley Street, who won the race from 1990-93, while regular jockey Timmy Murphy is looking forward to Saturday's ride.

"I am looking forward to him. If he does win a fourth one, an awful lot of the credit has to go to John Queally," said the jockey.

"We often say he knows his horses better than he knows his wife.

"He has done a fantastic job with him. Considering they were writing him off this season with the problem that he had, to bring him back for his first run over hurdles, it would be a fantastic performance" Murphy said.

Al Eile made a winning comeback from injury when impressively winning at Dundalk five weeks ago.
