Alexandre may return at Gowran on Saturday The long-absent Pont Alexandre could make his chasing debut at Gowran Park on Saturday. The seven-year-old French recruit was hugely impressive on his first two starts for Willie Mullins two seasons ago and was sent off a hot favourite for the Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle at the 2013 Cheltenham Festival. He had to make do with minor honours, finishing third behind The New One, and has been sidelined by injury since then. Pont Alexandre could, however, now make his comeback in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase. Mullins said: "Pont Alexandre is entered at Gowran Park on Saturday. "We have a number of entries and will decide later in the week. "He's in good form and has schooled well."
