Applause brings down 2014 curtain Michael O'Callaghan is already dreaming of next year with Rapid Applause. The two-year-old has been a credit to his stable this season, finishing no worse than fourth in four outings and ending his campaign with a close second to Cappella Sansevero in the Round Tower Stakes at the Curragh. O'Callaghan said: "Rapid Applause is finished for the year - he's a big horse who has a bit of growing and furnishing still to do. He has done very well, but has been on the go since April. "I'm hoping to bring him back early for the spring and start him off in the Guineas Trial and his main aim is the Irish 2,000 Guineas. "Like most horses, he doesn't want extremes of ground, but seems fairly versatile and with every run he has been progressive."
