Art Ready To Return

JCB Triumph hurdle fancy Degas Art is ready to return to the track following his midwinter break.

Howard Johnson's charge has verdicts over current joint-favourite Katchit and recent Kempton winner Pouvoir to his name but has been off the track since November.

A winner at Listed level on the Flat when trained by David Elsworth, Degas Art could have one more run before an assault on the top juvenile prize.

'Degas Art will come back when the ground is a bit better,' said owner Graham Wylie.

'The form of his last win has received a nice boost with Pouvoir winning at Kempton.

'He had a busy campaign on the Flat for David Elsworth and then he had two quick runs for us when we got him.

'He is back in training now and we might get him out before the end of the month to give him one more run before Cheltenham ? I haven't got a particular race in mind though.

'He may be becoming the forgotten horse of the race because he hasn't run for a while but we are fine with that, we would rather have it that way.'

Degas Art is a general 16-1 chance for the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham in March.
