Owner Keith Brown has Royal Ascot ambitions for last season's accomplished Curragh winner Orewa.

The Brian Ellison-trained three-year-old earned connections a small fortune last September when he achieved a two-length victory in the Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sale Stakes.

Brown said: "I took him for a gallop at Pontefract last Wednesday and he was absolutely brilliant.

"Ben Curtis rode him and reckons he's in great form and that he's ready to run.

"I'm hoping, fingers crossed, that we can get him to Royal Ascot."
