Ascot on cards for Rome Imperial Rome is a possible for the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot after his respectable effort in the French Guineas last weekend. The David Wachman-trained colt finished seventh at Longchamp, beaten four lengths by the winner Tin Horse and just behind Wootton Bassett. He holds an entry in the Ballycorus Stakes at Leopardstown on Sunday week, but Wachman will also consider the seven-furlong event at the Royal meeting. "I thought he ran fine. I was quite happy with him," said Wachman. "He had a few traffic problems, but you expect that and I don't think it made too much difference. I was very happy with him. "He's got a couple of options. The Group Three at Leopardstown and the Jersey Stakes, all those sort of races. "We'll see where the owners (Coolmore) want to go. He's a grand horse."
