Back-to-back wins for Casey's Rock Ya Boy Ya A gambled on winner at Killarney on Sunday, the Francis Casey trained Rock Ya Boy Ya followed up under a penalty when easily landing the Ardmore Handicap Hurdle at Tramore. Front rank throughout, the Mrs Peter Casey owned seven-year-old led or disputed along with Stoneyford Lady for much of the journey. Pushed along to lead approaching two out, the 7/4f kept on well from the final flight to win readily by five-and-a-half lengths. Francis Casey: "I did (have to run him again after a 13lb rise) and I don't know what the handicapper will give him now. We've got two wins out of him anyway, so we won't complain, considering it took him so long to win one! He has been a bit of revelation to win two in a week. "It was three and a half years since I had a winner, but I had only a few horses and had an awful lot of seconds. It's not that they were running bad. "He was going to go point-to-pointing last year and he went to a schooling race in Dreaper's and made a mockery of them all. He came back from that and had a little injury so I had to give him a year off. He had improved and I don't be too hard on them, so they will always improve. "I thought he'd handle the track because my gallop is very similar to here. We never had a winner here before though and it got to a stage where I just wouldn't go here. They've improved the facilities down in the stable yard and the last time I came down here I got lost! The horse I ran that day pulled up, so it was a bit of a disaster. They have racing again here on New Year's Day, so he could come back for a beginners chase or something. We've no worries about coming down here anymore. I thought it was the bogey track. "I was nearly tempted to put him in again at Downpatrick tomorrow, but he would have had another 7lb. This opens up plenty of options though. He has been schooled over fences and Alix was telling me that on statistics he made seven-lengths in jumping at Killarney. He jumped great again today. Additional reporting by Donal Murphy.
