Bad week for the bookies continues The 11th annual Irish jockeys v bookmakers' assistants Galway Races Charities Cup, in aid of a number of charities, took place at Terryland Park, Galway yesterday evening with the Jockeys coming out on top. Roger Quinlan scored the only goal of the game in a 1-0 victory for the jockeys. Barry Geraghty, Ken Whelan and Niall 'Slippers' Madden were among the jockeys playing. There was a presentation function afterwards, in the Clayton Hotel. All the proceeds will go to the following charities, The Niall Mellon Township Trust, Jack And Jill Children's Foundation, Global Housing Foundation and Injured Jockeys' Fund.
