Ballerina Boxer puts it all together for the Harveys "She’s been a tricky one to figure out. She kind of gets a bit claustrophobic in among horses and she can race keen. She kind of goes one way or the other," admitted successful pilot Ben Harvey after the win of Ballerina Boxer (10/1) in the Ladbrokes 'Gaffer Of All Accas' Handicap Hurdle (DIV II) at Punchestown. Harvey did the steering for his father, owner/trainer William, and the mare was adding to gains secured in a Tyrella point-to-point back in January. On this occasion she found plenty when required to beat joint market-leader County Champs by a length and three parts. There was just a length and a quarter back to Native Dream in third. “If you drop her last she’ll really go to sleep and it all worked out today," further explained Harvey junior. “She does need the race to fall her way a little bit. She’s been knocking on the door and she deserved that. “We were confident coming here today as her form was solid.” E. Walsh, rider of Coole Cottage, trained by David Kenneth Budds, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly and pulled up. (GC & EM)
