Ballycashin brought up plenty of bets in the Mahon Falls Handicap Hurdle on Clonmel's card.

The eight-year-old mare was big and bold when leading over two out, but was notably slick under Anna McGuinness at the last and landed running.

She readily kept on along the run-in to put a length and a-quarter on runner-up Dairy Force at 8/1. The winner was available at 13/2 this morning and was backed on course down to 4/1. Each-way players picked up a place dividend from Faceman (11/2) was was four and a-quarter lengths back in third.

This was Ballycashin's third victory for Tony Mullins - a bumper and two handicap hurdles (at this venue).

Jockey Anna McGuinness said: "She was disappointing at Punchestown the last day and I had been hitting the crossbar on her a few times, so it was very good of Tony and the owners for keeping me on her.

"It worked out and she used her good form today. She obviously likes it around here, seems to handle the track and it brings out the best in her. She stays well at that trip."
