Ballyoisin set for summer campaign High class chaser Ballyoisin is on the comeback trail having had surgery on a knee as his trainer Enda Bolger plans a summer campaign for the JP McManus owned gelding. The son of Presenting has won ten of his 23 starts and was rated 169 when finishing second to Cilaos Emery on his last run in the Hilly Way Chase at Cork 2019. Bolger reports “Ballyoisin has always had problems with his knees and had a chip taken out of his knee. “He had a good old rest and has been back cantering since New Years Day. “He’ll be aimed for Easter or Punchestown to start back and loves Killarney. There is always a race there for him and he flies around there. “He’s well enough handicapped over hurdles as well so we’ll see. He looks great and you wouldn’t think he’s ten. He has a fair engine when he’s right. “He’s very ground dependant. He wants nice summer ground and Killarney suits him.”
