Banimpire a York possibility

Trainer Jim Bolger is considering running his Irish Oaks runner-up Banimpire in the Yorkshire Oaks at York on August 18.

The filly, narrowly denied by Blue Bunting in the Irish Classic before winning the Group 2 Royal Whip Stakes at The Curragh recently, is still seeking a first Group 1 success and Bolger said “York is very much in our thoughts for Banimpire.”

“A decision will be made at the weekend but we are leaning towards running her in the Yorkshire Oaks."
