Bengal Tiger justified his short price with a wide margin success in the Tifrums Irish EBF Maiden at Naas.

The Ballydoyle colt was runner-up behind Salt Lake over course and distance last month and went off a 2/9 shot to go one better.

Ryan Moore had his mount to the fore throughout and asked him to stretch passing the two pole. The No Nay Never colt soon went clear to post a comprehensive 12-length success.

“We're delighted with him, he's a lovely horse. He had a grand run the first day and came forward lovely the next day,” said Aidan O'Brien.

“He jumped forward mad again but that's what they have been doing from their first, to their second and their third.

“Ryan really liked him. He was impressive.”

When asked if he could run again he added:- “He could, we'll see how he is. Either way he's going to be lovely for next year, when they start progressing like that.

“He galloped through the line easy. I think he'll go to seven anyway and might get a mile next year. He's a lovely natured horse.”
