Paul Cole took the Chesham Stakes for the fourth time in his training career as 16/1 chance Berkshire ran out an impressive winner under Jim Crowley.

Not since Mr Dinos took the 2003 Gold Cup had Cole enjoyed a winner at Royal Ascot.

The Jim Crowley-ridden winner came from last to first within a matter of strides.

Drawn 21 of 21, the son of Mount Nelson bounded two and a half lengths clear of 11-4 favourite Bunker, with Godolphin's Ihtimal third.

"It's been a long gap and when you've had a lot of success here it's nice to have a few runners with chances but that's not easy," said Cole.

"His work has always been good at home but we don't have the type of horse to gauge him against to work with.

"He's enormous and I wouldn't think he'd do a lot more this year. He'll have perhaps one more run and will be a better horse next year."
