Beverley Abandoned This evening's meeting at Beverley has been called off due to a waterlogged course. The racecourse tweeted at 12 noon that: "it is with much regret that racing this evening has been cancelled, due to areas of standing water on the track and further heavy rain forecast." Earlier in the day there had appeared to be no major issue with the track despite 10mm of rain overnight. At 6am this morning the going was described as Soft and it was decided to hold a precautionary inspection at 12 noon as further rain was forecast.
