Bolger's market drifter wins on handicap debut A maiden winner at Thurles on his previous outing, Blow Wind Blow followed up in the Easter Festival 4th - 6th April Handicap Hurdle at Fairyhouse. Having been 4/1 overnight, Mark Walsh’s mount was friendless in the betting all day and was sent off 12/1. The grey son of Gleneagles raced in mid-division and moved closer before two out. In third when not fluent at that flight, he was soon ridden and looked in trouble for a few strides. J.P.McManus’ homebred had plenty left in the tank, though, and having jumped the last in second, he led early on the run-in to beat the always-prominent Sock It To Me by a length and three-quarters. “That was nice. He loves that soft ground,” said winning trainer Enda Bolger. “It was probably an ordinary enough race he won in Thurles but the way he came up the straight there, he was loving it. “I can’t wait for him to go over fences next season. He’s still only five.” Additional reporting by Gary Carson
