Bromhead looking forward to Cathaoir run An Cathaoir Mor steps up to two and a half miles for the first time at Naas on Sunday as he bids to complete a hat-trick. The seven-year-old, trained by Henry de Bromhead, has to give 7lb to his six rivals in the Woodlands Park 100 Nas Na Riogh Novice Chase after victories at Fairyhouse and Leopardstown last month. "I'm looking forward to trying him over two and a half miles to see if he gets the trip," said the County Waterford handler. "He was always going to be a chaser and he's just a tricky ride but David (Casey) has him spot on now. He needs to come quite late in a race and doesn't want to get there too soon." De Bromhead would only consider running An Cathaoir Mor at Cheltenham if the ground was soft enough. "He wants plenty of give in the ground and likes it soft to heavy, so I don't know if he's a Cheltenham horse," the trainer continued. "If it was a normal Cheltenham ground-wise, he certainly wouldn't go there. "If it was a freak year and it was bottomless ground, we'd consider it but I'd say it was unlikely." Trainer Mouse Morris takes on the likely favourite on Sunday with Baily View and Copsiano with the seven-strong field completed by Jadanli, Tally Em Up, Taravada and Toomdeely.
