Dylan Browne McMonagle has enjoyed a tremendous run of success since a belated return to action this month and again has a strong book of rides at Gowran Park this evening.

The Donegal native landed a first Flat jockeys’ championship last season and, despite an injury delayed start to the defence of his title, has quickly been making up for lost time partnering 14 winners in the space of a fortnight.

The cracking form of the powerful Joseph O’Brien yard has greatly helped his cause and the pair team up with a couple of strong contenders this evening.

O’Brien is strongly represented by both Chamonix and Big Cypress in the INPBA Sponsored Gate June 1st Maiden (6.20pm) with the former partnered by the champion jockey.

Browne McMonagle and O’Brien also team up with Vauntingly in the @gowranpark1 On X Fillies Race (7.20), while he has some fancied mounts in a number of the handicaps.

The Ciaran Murphy-trained Staywitherjohnny has attracted support in the Membership At Gowran Park Golf Club Handicap (6.50), while he also rides the Paul Flynn-trained pair of Master Sydney and Jurality in the concluding two races.

The first on a seven-race card gets underway at 5.10pm and the going is now yielding following 4mm of rain yesterday.
