Bunting & Beast set for St Leger Godolphin's star filly Blue Bunting is set to be joined by Genius Beast and Rumh in the Ladbrokes St Leger at Doncaster on Saturday. Blue Bunting will be bidding for her third Classic of the campaign and her fourth Group One win in all on Town Moor following success in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket, the Irish Oaks and most recently the Yorkshire Oaks. The three-year-old confirmed herself on target for Doncaster with a pleasing workout on Saturday morning and connections are in confident mood. Godolphin racing manager Simon Crisford said: "Blue Bunting pleased in her workout this morning and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed gave her the green light to run in the Ladbrokes St Leger." Trainer Mahmood Al Zarooni told www.godolphin.com: "Blue Bunting looks to be in the same form as she was before the Darley Yorkshire Oaks. "I have been pleased with her preparation for the St Leger and it is now a question of waiting until next Saturday. "We will take a chance with Genius Beast but I think that he can run a good race. "He stays very well and all the jockeys who have ridden him have suggested this race. "He will be staying on at the end and I am hopeful that he can make the frame." The Saeed bin Suroor-trained Rumh will be supplemented for the race on Monday and is set to act as a pacemaker.
