The current busy schedule of Irish racing continues with two meetings today — an afternoon National Hunt card at Gowran Park and also quality Flat action at Dundalk this evening.

The two-mile maiden hurdle has been divided to form an eight-race card at Gowran Park with the first going to post at 1.35.

The going is currently described as good, good to yielding in places, following 2mm of rain overnight. There is the possibility of a further 11mm of rain before racing today.

There are two Listed races on the card at Gowran Park, while Dundalk also has a couple of Listed races on their eight-race card beginning at 4.50pm.

There are also two meetings on both days over the weekend with Killarney hosting a Flat card on Saturday and jumps on Sunday.

Gowran continues on Saturday with the Grade 2 PWC Champion Chase the highlight, while Tipperary hosts ‘Super Sunday’ with a high-class mixed card on October 2.

The going at Killarney is currently yielding to soft (Flat) and good, good to yielding in places (NH). There was 2mm of rain overnight with possibly a further 5-7mm this morning.
