Captain Joy 3rd at Lingfield Marco Botti's Grey Mirage landed the Ladbrokes All-Weather Mile Championships Conditions Stakes under Ryan Moore. Held up on the inside throughout the first half mile, Moore switched his mount to the outside of the leading contenders with a furlong to go, getting first run on the 5/2 favourite Sovereign Debt. It turned out to be a race-winning move with Sovereign Debt flying home to take second, but he wasn't gooed enough to get to 13/2 chance Grey Mirage, with Captain Joy (5/1) back in third. Moore said: "He always runs his best races around here. "He's had a bad draw the last twice, everything went very well today and he's a talented horse. "The prize money is fantastic and there's plenty of people here, so it's a good day." Botti said: "It was a great performance and a perfect ride, what more can you say when you have this man on board? "Even watching the race, everything was going his way, he got him relaxed and if he got the splits, which he did, I knew he could win. "This horse has so much ability, once things go his way he's a very good horse."
