Gillian Callaghan and Keith Donoghue teamed up to record a double at Cartmel this afternoon.

The Co Meath handler saddled Thatshowhedidit to win the opening Racing UK Maiden Hurdle.

Having gone close on a few occasions in bumpers the son of Kutub got off the mark on his first start over flights.

Held up towards rear by Donoghue the Sarah Connolly owned gelding made headway before three out and led on the home bend.

He soon went clear and came home ten lengths to the good at the odds of 5/1.

Callaghan and Donoghue completed the double in the next, the Hadwins Handicap Hurdle, as Redclue ran out an easy winner.

Successful at Downpatrick last month the six-year-old son of Red Clubs was second on his last two outings at Clonmel and Tramore (over fences) respectively.

Stepped up to three mile one today he was sent off the 7/2 joint-favourite in the colours of the E R Syndicate.

Settled in mid-division he made a mistake at the fifth before taking closer order from the ninth.

He went second at the third last and hit the front before the final flight, going on to score by a comfortable nine lengths.

Triumph Davis was the other joint-favourite (backed from 5/1) and she finished a disappointing sixth under Richard Johnson for Gordon Elliott.

Callaghan and Donoghue attempted to make it a treble as Ongenstown Lad lined-up for them in the Cumbria Grand Hotel At Grange Handicap Hurdle.

The eleven-year-old gelding ran a fine race to finish third at the odds of 14/1 while Gordon Elliott's recent Gowran winner From Frost (11/4fav) was second.

The well-backed Stags Leap (9/2 to 3/1) won the race for Julia and Henry Brooke.
