Change Of Track Layout At Punchestown Tomorrow

Racing at Punchestown on Wednesday, November 2nd will now commence at 12.45pm due to the division of the Kildare Maiden Hurdle.

As result of recent heavy rainfall, almost 40mm over the weekend, all hurdle races at our meeting tomorrow, Wednesday November 2nd, will be run on the Inside Track and will finish on the Inside Straight.

All steeplechase races will finish on the main straight as normal. The going at present is Soft to Heavy, Heavy in places.

Dick O'Sullivan, Manager at Punchestown commenting on the use of the inside track stated 'We are very fortunate that we have an inside track which we can use when ground conditions become unfavourable and when we need to divide races.

We are expecting about another 8 ? 10mm of rain tonight which may well make our going Heavy.

There will be 156 runners at Punchestown tomorrow and our aim is to ensure that our track can sustain these numbers of runners whilst still providing suitable going throughout the season.'
