Cheltenham winners that could appear at Aintree - 'Could be nicely treated in next month's feature event'
Grand National Day

It felt like the Cheltenham Festival of old this year! Large and competitive fields, winners hard to come by, and an absolutely scintillating performance by our Gold Cup winner, Gaelic Warrior! What Cheltenham winners could appear at Aintree next?
Saratoga: A Grade 1 juvenile in the making?
Padraig Roche 's son of Camelot made an absolute mockery of a rating of 130 when bolting up in the Fred Winter Handicap Hurdle. Owned by JP McManus who is certainly no stranger to winning the race, he also did so last year with Puturhandstogether who went on to run in the Grade 1 four-year-old juvenile hurdle when finishing third to Murcia. It would be no surprise to see Saratoga have a crack at the contest too as his mark is now going to go up a fair bit.

It is probably still up in the air as to whether Lossiemouth will go for a repeat victory in the Grade 1 Aintree Hurdle this year or will head to Punchestown instead but that's the route she took last year after winning her second Mares' Hurdle at Cheltenham. Willie Mullins' superstar mare benefitted from the application of first-time cheekpieces when bolting up in the Champion Hurdle, gaining revenge on Brighterdaysahead to kick-start an incredible week for the Riccis, and she will surely be odds-on if she now heads to Liverpool.
Final Orders: The Grand National outsider
Gavin Cromwell 's horses have certainly improved since the turn of the spring, proven by Inothewayurthinkin s season-best run when third in the Gold Cup, and their Cross Country Chase winner Final Orders could be Grand National bound now after impressing at Cheltenham. The 10-year-old was given a fabulous ride by Conor Stone-Walsh to see off Favori De Champdou and he could be nicely treated in next month's feature event. He's currently trading at around the 50/1 mark which isn't a bad price at all.
Il Etait Temps: The dual-purpose superstar

Willie Mullins held all the aces in the Champion Chase at Cheltenham as he trains Majborough who was sent off favourite and Il Etait Temps who was the well-backed second favourite. Majborough got up to his old tricks again and jumped terribly, but Paul Townend took full advantage aboard his stablemate, who rocked up the hill to win by 10 lengths. He enjoys his racing this boy and actually didn't have too hard a race at all as it fell apart, so perhaps we could see him travel to both Aintree and Punchestown, just like he did in 2024 when winning Grade 1s at both venues after his third in the Arkle.
Wodhooh: Elliott's reliable banker
Although Gordon Elliott is having a tremendous season overall, he will admit he had a terrible Cheltenham Festival, but his only shining light on the week was his reliable Wodhooh who was the banker of the festival for many in the Mares' Hurdle. She was runner-up to Lossiemouth in the Aintree Hurdle last season and there's a chance that the pair could clash again. If they do, it should be an absolute cracker of a contest.
