In-form duo Gordon Elliott and Kevin Sexton teamed up for yet another winner as Cinating made most to land the opening Garvey's Bar, Ballintubber Maiden Hurdle at Roscommon.

Still holding every chance when falling two out on her recent hurdling debut at Ballinrobe, the daughter of Fascinating Rock made amends.

Clear from the second flight, the Newtown Anner Stud Farm Ltd owned 13/8f found plenty in the straight, keeping on strongly to beat Take The Free by four-and-a-quarter lengths.

Racing manager PJ Colville said: “She was a bit unlucky the last day in Ballinrobe, but that just put her right for today.

“The idea was to get her to win a maiden and we’ll see what Gordon wants to do now.

“We’ll tip away for the summer and see how far we go with her.

“She had good bumper form in the winter time and I’d say that ground helped her as well, she likes a little bit of cut in it.

“We’ll plan away and head for summer tracks like Killarney and Galway.”
