City Targets Greatwood Success

Detroit City will try to emulate former favourite Rooster Booster when he lines up in tomorrow's Greatwood Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham.

The four-year-old is owned by Terry Warner and trained by Philip Hobbs ? the same duo who were responsible for the 2003 Champion Hurdle winner.

Rooster Booster won the Greatwood before that Festival success and connections are hoping for a good show from last season's Triumph Hurdle and Aintree winner.

'Detroit City is very well and I am very happy with him, particularly so,' said Hobbs.

'I wouldn't worry if the ground goes a bit dead.

'If he is going to be a Champion Hurdle contender, he would want to be winning this off 148 and if he doesn't, we'll have to change our plans.'
