Racing at Clonmel tomorrow has been cancelled following an inspection of the track this morning.

Officials decided to have a look at the Co. Tipperary venue after 38mm of rain in the past 36 hours, and the meeting has been cancelled as parts of the track are waterlogged.

Interestingly this is the first Irish meeting to be cancelled since a Flat fixture at Navan on Sunday April 21 last year.

Meanwhile the going at Down Royal is now heavy following 12mm of rain overnight.

The first on a seven-race card at the northern venue is due to get underway at 1.15pm.

The forecast remains unsettled for the remainder of this week, with a spell of very wet and windy weather expected later on Friday.
