Tramore's two-mile 0-60 handicap was won by 40/1 chance Voice Of Reason who made virtually all the running in the hands of Robbie Colgan.

Colgan, had employed similar front-running tactics when successful on 20/1 shot El Galvino earlier on the card, and the canny former jump jockey completed an 860/1 double as his mount fended off the challenge of Nelson Muntz to score by half-a-length.

The Churchill gelding won three times at Dundalk during its winter season and was bouncing back to form after three heavy defeats on turf.

Winning trainer William Delahunty said "Myself and my son Michael )owner) saw him run in a claiming race here (in April 2025) but left him alone, although came back for him the following month when we bought him for €4,000.

"Good ground is the key to him and he is a revelation at Dundalk. He needs that two-mile distance and Robbie (Colgan) said he could have gone around again today. He is a very genuine horse.

"My son Michael, who rides out for Joseph O'Brien and recently finished his college degree, won on him at Dundalk last winter and we manage both this horse and (stablemate) Hero Of The Hour between the family."
