Condon recovering from Sligo fall

Davy Condon, who suffered a nasty fall from Imperial Belle at Sligo last night, will have further x-rays today to make sure that no damage was done.

Riding the well-backed favourite for Joanna Morgan in the Corner House Bar Ballymote Handicap Hurdle, Condon came to grief at the second last flight.

His mother, Susan said today: "Davy had x-rays up in Sligo last night as he was complaining of back pain. They didn't find anything but he had pins and needles and things. I think he is going to Waterford today to have more x-rays just to be sure.

"Hopefully he is fine; he just wants to make sure. He is not too bad today."
