Financial Conduct could attempt to complete a Dundalk hat-trick before going on to bigger things.

Trainer Andrew Oliver has high hopes for the four-year-old gelding, who has twice won over a mile and a half at the County Louth track this winter.

"He's a lovely big horse. He looks to be improving, which he's entitled to," said the County Tyrone handler.

"He's very relaxed in training now, so hopefully he'll keep progressing the right way and he is one to look forward to.

"There's another handicap in a couple of weeks' time at Dundalk over a mile and a half. We might let him take his chance there and then we'd be thinking of better races on the grass.

"He's a lovely-moving horse and we don't expect any ground to inconvenience him.

"We'll look forward to the season then and if he keeps going the right way, look to strategically place him. We hope he can improve into a good horse and maybe go for good staying races and stakes races if he heads in that direction.

"Apart from him being fairly young and backward, the mistake I made was bringing him back in trip to a mile and two. He certainly wants a mile and a half at the moment.

"He seems to just start rolling in that last furlong, doing his best work at the end and hitting the line hard. It looks to us that he could step up in trip, but you never know.

"He loves a fast pace and moves very easily through the race. We've nothing further for him at the moment, but if he keeps progressing, we'll have no compunction about stepping him up in trip."
