Connections mull over Ghanaati plans Brilliant Coronation Stakes winner Ghanaati's next target has yet to be decided by connections, with possible options including the Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket's July meeting and the Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood. Both are Group One contests open to older horses, with the former against her own sex and the latter against the colts. Angus Gold, racing manager to owner Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum, told sportinglife.com: "There's nothing definite yet. A possible is the Falmouth, but Sheikh Hamdan originally thought about the Sussex. I'll be speaking to him in the next couple of days." Reflecting on her Royal Ascot success he continued: "We were delighted with her and it was great to see her uphold the English Guineas form and prove herself a top-class filly." Meanwhile, Jersey Stakes winner Ouqba is unlikely to drop back to six furlongs in the July Cup next week. "I would imagine he might go for the Lennox Stakes at Glorious Goodwood next, but I haven't discussed it with Barry yet," Gold said.
