Coolmore & Aga Khan dominate Derby entries Coolmore is responsible for 58 of the 448 initial entries for the 2018 Investec Derby. The powerhouse group of owners has already tasted glory in the premier Classic on six occasions, and among the team this time is a half-brother to 2011 Derby hero Pour Moi and a full-brother to this year's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe heroine Found. The race will be held at Epsom on June 2 and there will be a second entry stage in April 2018, as well as the possibility of supplementing a month later. Epsom's head of racing and clerk of the course Andrew Cooper said: "We are thrilled to see such a strong and numerically high yearling entry for the 2018 Investec Derby. "We are grateful to all owners and trainers concerned for their continuing support of the Classic which firmly remains as Britain's richest race." Another major owner with a substantial number of entries is the Aga Khan, who increased his Derby haul to five this year with the Dermot Weld-trained Harzand, following on from Shergar (1981), Shahrastani (1986), Kahyasi (1988) and Sinndar (2000). He has 20 entries.
