Cooper returns at Thurles Bryan Cooper returns to action at Thurles on Thursday following a month-long spell on the sidelines with a shoulder injury. The Gold Cup winning jockey returned to race riding at the end of September but suffered a fracture to a shoulder blade in a first flight fall from Amerijano at Galway on October 26. Cooper returns to action on Thursday with two mounts in maiden hurdles, beginning with the Padraig Roche trained The Broghie Man in the 1.25pm race before ending 35 minutes later with his father Tom Cooper's Mr Manhattan in the fourth race.
