Cork goes ahead

Today's meeting at Cork will go ahead following an early morning inspection, although a number of alterations have been made to the card.

The two six furlong races have been moved to the round track, with the five furlong race cancelled. The first race will now get underway at the later time of 2.25pm, and the ground is described as soft to heavy.

The final day of the Galway Festival takes place this afternoon where the going is soft to heavy (chase) and soft, soft to heavy places (flat, hurdle).

The going for Cork's National Hunt programme tomorrow is yielding to soft (soft in places) on hurdle track, while Naas is yielding to soft.

The forecast is a risk of showers today, and generally dry overnight and tomorrow.
