Gordon Elliott and Stuart Crawford both have runners at Ayr today and the latter's Ailie Rose, runner-up in her last two starts at Down Royal, is favourite for the opening mares' novice hurdle at 1.00.

Elliott's Motown Maggie, third at Fairyhouse last weekend and a winner at the same track in November, is likely to contend as well in a field of six.

Crawford's Kinnegad Lad, last seen when finishing third at Limerick in May, reappears in the 2m handicap hurdle at 3.00 and the Larne handler also runs Brompton Park in the bumper at 3.30.

Elliott has a good chance in that concluding event with Burn The Evidence. The grey daughter of Geordieland has been placed in her last two outings at Fairyhouse and Thurles.
