Sunset Shiraz was Gavin Cromwell's only runner on Irish Champions Weekend and the daughter of Time Test, who is still a maiden, finished a a very creditable third in yesterday's Moyglare Stud Stakes.

Queen Mary winner and Breeders' Cup hopeful Quick Suzy is another high-class juvenile in the yard while the dual-purpose operator has also enjoyed plenty of success in recent weeks with his summer jumpers.

Cromwell gave an update yesterday on two of his main hopes for the winter campaign beginning with Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle winner Vanillier.

“He schooled over fences during the week and jumps great. He won a point-to-point so I suppose he ought to jump well."

Cromwell added of the Martaline 6-year-old: “We’re delighted with him and he’s in good nick."

With regard to his Paddy Power Stayers' Hurdle winner, the Danestown handler said: “Flooring Porter hasn’t been back in as long but is hacking away.

"The main targets for him will be Leopardstown at Christmas and Cheltenham.

“We’re probably limited where we can go with him and we might start off at Navan in the Lismullen Hurdle over two and a half miles and then on to Christmas.”
