A Wave Of The Sea is Joseph O'Brien's sole entrant as he bids for a hat-trick in Wednesday's Guinness Kerry National at Listowel. For Gavin Cromwell meanwhile, he's in search of a first win in the three miler, and Stumptown is being readied to go into battle for the County Meath handler.

It's somewhat surprising to note, that Cromwell hasn't had a runner in the Harvest Festival showpiece before, but he like so many others is attracted by the 200,000 Euro extravaganza.

He reasoned: "It is a good pot and what else do you do at this time? We'll give it a shot.

"The only thing I suppose is the handicapper may have the measure of him."

The Furze Bush-owned six-year-old is likely to progress off a comeback effort at Galway last month. Cromwell is realistic though, stating: "He'll want to come on from his Galway run - he was very stuffy on the day and I thought he would run better than he did, but he seems in good form."
